Dell has been successful for the night with the M11x Alienware earlier this year. This portable 11-inch laptop overcome many of the great and the price is below $ 1000. Unfortunately for Dell, customers soon began asking Alienware M11x with Intel Core i7. Now, less than six months after the release of R2 is the M11x M11x with Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia graphics technology Optimus automatic switching. Is this the perfect M11x? Design and build
We looked at Alienware M11x and a new version is "version 2" (R2) of the M11x is almost identical. The internal battery is also something to consider when talking about the thickness of this laptop. The M11x may seem thick with a height of 1.29 inches, but if you buy the Lenovo IdeaPad U150 Dell Inspiron 11z or six long battery life, while they are actually thicker than the Alienware machine.
Build quality is second to thank you for any structure above magnesium alloy, combined with matte black plastic. The exterior of the notebook feels rock solid with just a little flex on the back cover screen when you apply pressure. The keyboard and palm rest not suffering from any point flex under pressure writing heavy. Again M11x is always the most durable 11-inch notebook we reviewed in our laboratory. The M11x easily rivals the quality of the construction of certain mobile professionals who label as "business-rugged." The build quality has not changed with the new review of this laptop ... it has just received a neater finish.
Another integral part of the Alienware design is the use of custom LED lighting in key areas around the laptop. The first thing that most people will find a wonderful backlit keyboard, and two front panels, but my favorite is the backlit alien head located above the keyboard. AlienFX using the software, you can configure this light M11x logo of a number of different ways to warn the battery status. The applicator head, a stranger in my original blue M11x on AC power and red when battery power. This is a great way to alert the user if the power cord is accidentally disconnected or during a game. Two other areas that light up M11x is the head of a stranger behind the screen and the air intake at the bottom of the laptop.
Speaking at the bottom of a laptop M11x is also a wonderful, from the bottom. The base plate is largely flat and smooth, with a speaker grille holes until the firing stereo speakers, exhaust fan, and the battery indicator. If you are interested to upgrade your interior M11x will be happy to know that all user-serviceable parts, which is a reference point on the bottom of the notebook. Access to the CPU, graphics, or the fan is much more complicated, but honestly, most consumers do not need to get those workings.The inner cover plate of a mass for the battery, hard drive, wireless cards and slots memory to use a standard Phillips head screws for easy disassembly. It 'also interesting to note that the Dell / Alienware was kind enough to use clips of all the screws ... so when you unscrew the bottom plate of small screws do not fall out on the floor.
