PCMag Editors have not tried the Toshiba Satellite P740-BT4G22. We did, however, testing and review of the Toshiba Satellite L745D-S4220RD (3.5 stars).

Design and features
Toshiba went with a brushed metal finish around the laptop from the cover of his face that has an LED backlit keyboard and tile multi-touch trackpad. Above the keyboard are two alignment / Kardon, and 1.3 megapixel webcam is located just above its TruBrite LED. The Satellite P740-BT4G22 packs a DVD SuperMulti Double Layer optical drive into its left side. Connections include a standard USB port, an output USB 3.0 port, HDMI port 10/100 Ethernet LAN, audio jacks and much more.
This model Toshiba Satellite 6 GB of DDR3 1333 MHz reveal a 640 GB hard drive at 5400 rpm through a SATA connection, if open. Users will also find a 1 GB NVIDIA GeForce 525M GT with Optimus switching technology. The video card supports video content in 3D with 3D Vision and PhysX physics for use in games.
