The 1015b is part of the ASUS Eee PC "Seashell" series, which does not appear to block the old Eee PC designs. This netbook looks and feels more generic, it is 100% black plastic. The matte finish to the palm rest and lid can be seen, the shiny plastic surrounding the keyboard and the screen is so dirty and scratched easily. Plastic mat is much more durable and easier to clean. 1015b is not the exterior design is characterized by outstanding, not bad looking, but certainly does not win style points.
The 1015b is constructed entirely of plastic. The plastic feels thin and I was able to produce many bells to tap into the palm rest with a fingernail. The fit and finish could use some work, most of the edges where the pieces fit together are rough. In general, the chassis is stable and resistant to bending. The lid of the netbook, on the other hand, it is well done, it bends too easily and the performance by pushing back the waves on the screen. Something shameful is that the screen does not tilt too far, only about 15-20 degrees past vertical.
That the update properties, 1015b is a bit 'go to it. The door on the bottom just to keep the starting slot to upgrade RAM hard drive requires a model of the netbook. RAM upgrades are limited because the C-30 processor is a single channel memory controller. Overall the build quality has improved, thicker, softer edges of the plastic would.

The 1015b has a large port respectable for a netbook. HDMI is a notable inclusion. Honestly, the most modern netbooks include the ports so that we are not very impressed with what we see here. All descriptions of the images are from left to right.
