The HP Pavilion dv6-6110us ($ 649.99 at Staples) is a good deal for those looking for a cheap laptop desktop replacement that will last more than six hours on one charge and delivery performance respectable graphics. You will not get that much power or Source characteristics of this model, however.

The bridge keypad sports the same finish as the top and maintain a full-size keyboard blocks dedicated numeric keypad. The keys are flat and relatively solid, comfortable writing. The touchpad and mouse buttons are presented in a narrow strip cutting backlit and are both responsive and comfortable to use. Missing is a fingerprint sensor, as found in dv6-6113cl, but the web browser shortcut keys above the keyboard, just the power switch. Speaker Bar Silver can accommodate two Altec Lansing speakers, which are adequate for light listening, but it lacks volume and bass.
The 15.6-inch screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768, which is pretty much standard issue for a budget laptop. The screen is bright and offers good color fidelity and black decent and gives a nice sharp image 720p.
Feature
Port selection is the center of the road in the dv6-6110us. There are four USB ports, but they are all USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 speed of running on several of the latest laptops. Video outputs include VGA, HDMI, and there is an Ethernet port, two headphone jacks and a microphone. This model is equipped with an eSATA port, which is convenient to transfer files to and from external devices. DVD multi-drive is on the right side of the chassis and a card reader SD / MMC on the leading edge. There is also a built-in HP webcam TrueVision top of the screen frame.
The wireless network through a radio comes 802.11b/g/n dv6-6110us but not Bluetooth, WIDI 2.0 (Wireless Display), or the capabilities of WiMAX. The 640 portable hard drive running at 5400 rpm and comes preinstalled with Windows 7 Home Premium, Skype, CyberLink YouCam, and HP Recovery Manager (for backup and restore) and CoolSense (for automatic temperature control) software. Of course, the usual bloatware programs (eBay, Snapfish, games and combining test versions) are also present.
Performance
The dv6-6110us is configured with an AMD processor A6-3400, which calls for an AMD Accelerated Processing Unit (or APU). It has a stock speed of 1.4 GHz, but can clock up to 2.3 GHz Core AMD turbo. Populated with 4 GB of system memory, dv6-6110us had trouble keeping up with competitors. Its PCMark 1483 score of 7 was 500 points lower than the dv6-6113cl (Core i3) and nearly 600 points lower than the Lenovo Ideapad 066A9U-V570 (i5). The dv6-6135dx, which uses a slightly more powerful AMD processor A8-3500, scored 1632 on this test. The results were the same on our Cinebench test R11.5 CPU, the score of dv6-6110us "of 1.74 was the lowest of all. The IdeaPad led with a score of 2.6, followed by dv6-6013cl with 2.04 and the Toshiba Satellite P755-S5215 ($ 719.99 list, 3 stars) with 2.02.
The dv6-6110us need a huge 7 minutes 55 seconds to complete our Photoshop test CS5 Multimedia, who finished in a 4 IdeaPad relatively quick minutes 10 seconds.
