In the era of the iPad and other tablets to swallow, it's easy to laugh at V100 boxy unattractive appearance, but to my eyes, it's awfully nice device.
The V100 actually looks like part of a piece of high tech military equipment, and 5.5 kg. most have to wonder how much would be about a disastrous self defense situation. It is also MIL-STD-810G compatible, and is just a fancy way of saying it is technical specifications for the Department of Defense standards of ability to withstand drops, shock, high vibration, extreme weather conditions, the dust and moisture.

In case of V100, it was estimated IP65. Basically, the "6" in the equation tells us that the V100 is fully sealed against dust (no vents). The "5" indicates that the interior is fully protected against water jets. And we're not talking a simple spray of rain here, but really the water jet after all angles. I would not be immersed in a pool, but you also need not worry sparkles if you are caught outside in a monsoon with it.
The V100 can also function perfectly in temperatures from -4 to 140 degrees Fahrenheit (which is -20 to 60 degrees Celsius anywhere else in the world) and can be stored in conditions more extreme temperature: -60 to 160 degrees Fahrenheit or -51 to 71 degrees Celsius. Function of humidity can vary from 5 to 95 percent relative humidity.
ActivPens Stylus and ink features
The unit has reviewed a dual mode touch screen is both pressure sensitive and has a scanner. The V100 is available with only a resistive touch screen or a screen-type gloves multi-touch.
The action on the V100 ActivPen leaves something to be desired, and was one of the biggest disappointments of this. When you take a look at it, the pen expandable / collapsible - which extends to about three-quarters of the length of a full size pen - mini-miracle as a design practice. When folded, fits neatly in a good position 2.5 "slot on the bottom inside of the lid of the screen.
As practical as it is, the results I experienced when actually put to use to ink were pretty average. Although very little delay and feels comfortable enough in their way, to get the ActivPen response must be pressed firmly against the screen. Any decrease in pressure causes an interruption of traffic and therefore makes the V100 pretty ineffective as a tool for taking notes. Furthermore, there is a recognition of the palm of the hand - it was not as big a deal as I imagined, due to the relatively small size of the screen and across borders, which rested comfortably in the palm of my hand.
The probable cause of the issue is the ink pen fold, which is much smaller than the traditional unit Wacom or N-trig. You can also display the tough guys has something to do with reduced sensitivity. Nevertheless, there is a significant compromise between function and form with capacities V100 pen.
Display and speakers

Display brightness is rated at 1200 nits, which allows the display is easily visible in direct sunlight, and is about as bright as a rugged tablet screens come these days. The only drawback is that the brighter the image on the screen, a smaller battery. According to some estimates, the use of lively can cut a lot of time off the battery for more than half (mean estimated duration of the light used is about 7 hours).
We measured the contrast ratio of 744:1.49, 729:1.39 726:1.48 y. In comparison, the recently revised X10gx armor had a ratio of 705:1.
The V100 has a speaker that does its job, but in future models, it would be nice to see a version of the tablet that is stereo enabled. The fact that the unit itself is built for business does not mean you can not have a bit of rock and roll for recreational use.
There is also a tour of two megapixels Digi-cam mounted on top of the screen, with about 180 degrees of movement.
Keyboard and Touchpad
With a full-size 83-key QWERTY keyboard, V100 proves easy to use bare hands or gloved and gives them the ability to adapt to difficult external conditions and availability, which would otherwise make a laptop as useful as a brick in her lap . The only thing I found was that the ENTER key is positioned slightly higher than the face of the keyboard are used to the standard keyboard, which offers a bit 'of a learning curve that I had to win without too much difficulty, just a few keystrokes.
