Motorola Xoom Review

Building Design

It is very compressed decision-makers can do to differentiate their devices from the rest of the stack, but Motorola is doing its best to keep out, lightweight design with adjustable working both for and against it.

Xoom is an all-black tablet with rounded edges and a slightly rough and rubber back for a share of about one fourth down from the top. The top is a bit 'softer "rubbery" compared to the background. We found a preference for Xoom back to all-plastic behind the Samsung Galaxy Tab of the base model (without card from Verizon, which had a small rubber bullets) and the Apple iPhone. Compared to the competition available, Xoom is just easier to maintain, and back to shake off fingerprints well.

As with other pills, all ports are on the edges. The mini-USB and mini-HDMI port on the bottom next to an entry and berthing at the port of loading, and 3.5 mm headphone jack is on top of the screen hides the MicroSD slot and SIM card slot .

There are two volume buttons on the left side, while the right side has nothing.
The power button / lock on the back of the camera, sitting to the right of the two speakers on board. The aim of the back of the camera and flash on the camera sit between them.

In contrast to many Android phones, there are no buttons on the front of Xoom. It is only 10.1-inch screen and front camera. I expected this to be a problem, but I got used quickly, and the lack of buttons Xoom seems much more modern rival tablets.

Because of its size, Xoom is compressed with both hands. It 'too big and heavy for a long time with one hand, as opposed to a 7-inch Galaxy Tab. But he also feels more robust tablet Android Samsung, and also the first generation of the iPad.

If there is a design flaw, it is in the location of the camera lens back and, unfortunately, not uncommon for pills. The lens is slightly behind the body, leaving him vulnerable to fingerprints and scratches. Users who enjoy the onboard cameras will want to invest in a magazine or be especially careful when the tablet on a surface.
